Report a Concern 

  • For data security or privacy incidents, immediately notify the IT Security Office and follow the procedures in Policy 5.4.2 Reporting Electronic Security Incidents
    • For all Ithaca-based locations and Cornell Tech campus, notify the Cornell IT Security Office (ITSO) at ITSecurity@cornell.edu or (607) 255-6664
  • For privacy concerns such as unethical, inappropriate, or non-compliant use of personal data, complete the Report a Privacy Concern form.
  • To report a lost/stolen device, contact Cornell Police or (607) 255-1111 and obtain a case number for future reference.  
    • NOTE: in instances where your personal information is stored on lost/stolen devices, a police report can help you with the necessary documentation for applying for identity theft protection programs.

Data Subject Rights Request 

  • Individuals may use this form to make a data subject rights request in accordance with their country’s laws. Cornell University will review the request and act as it discerns appropriate. Cornell’s ability to respond to your request may be governed by multiple laws, some of which may grant you certain rights to your data, others of which may prevent Cornell from fulfilling your request.
